Extreme Weather

Grades K-3

February 2nd, 9th, and 16th

Weather is something people experience every day. However, there are some types of weather that are so intense that they deserve special mention. We call this weather "Extreme"!   During this club, we will examine different types of Extreme weather. Students will learn ways to prepare and adapt to the possible wild weather ahead!

Micro:bit 2.0

Grades 3-5

February 3rd, 10th, and 17th

Already know the basics of your Micro:bit?  Then this class is perfect for you.  We will focus on some of the more advanced features of this amazing little device.  Learn how to code activities using the bluetooth antenna, learn how to use the PIN settings with fruit and vegetables, and create fun and interactive games!

Bill Hirt


K-5 Technology Instructor

William is currently a Technology Instructor and Specialist at Chadds Ford Elementary. He has experience working with the latest in 3D printing, student robotics, and soft circuits.

John Wagner


4th Grade Instructor

John is currently a 4th grade teacher at Chadds Ford Elementary.  He has had the opportunity to work with NASA for 8 years in a partnership with a local university in an effort to bring more STEM education to districts across the Commonwealth.

4th Grade Instructor

Erika is currently a 4th grade teacher at Pocopson Elementary.  She believes that through STEM education students can be empowered to think critically, problem solve, and develop a growth mindset.
